Basically, it's a 'pay for your seat' system, similar to paying “time” at a casino (common in higher-limit games). That said, it's a preposterous.

Both series contrast bland suburban American life with the violence and brutality bubbling just below the surface: While Walter White is an initially honest man trying the sopranos poker game be a criminal, Tony Soprano is a criminal who occasionally tries to be an honest man.
The conflict between those the sopranos poker game worlds is front and center in The Happy Wanderer, which is the sopranos poker game makes it one of my favorite episodes of the series.
Tony and his crew are gearing up to host their the sopranos poker game high-stakes underground poker game, to be attended by a variety of wealthy out-of-towners and local wiseguys.
David, who owns a sporting goods store, is sick of the daily grind of selling tents and camping coolers and asks Tony to let him join the upcoming poker game.
These guys, they play deep.
When Christopher Quistofuh answers the door, David asks to speak with Tony.
Presently, Tony shows up and ushers David down the hall, telling him repeatedly to leave.
We hear a here woosh by ominously on the road outside.
And then, wordlessly, Tony turns and leads David to the suite.
Robert Patrick's performance is so heartfelt and convincing that you forget this same actor once played a shapeshifting robot from the future.
David is a happy wanderer: Cheerfully optimistic and only slightly less dorky than the other non-mafia characters on the show.
David has been eaten alive at the card table, and when he sees Tony in the aftermath his first reaction is to start making small talk, inviting him to go for a schvitz.
I love this episode because it's a story about a gangster destroying an honest man's life where the honest man is the bad guy.
To be clear, Tony is by no stretch of the imagination a good guy — he's a boorish racist who kills people, breaks the law, cheats on his wife, and is a terrible father.
But David, johnny casino and music husband and father himself, knew all those things about Tony.
He didn't want to join the poker game in spite of Tony's darkness; on the contrary, he was desperate to get into the room because of Tony's darkness.
He wanted to indulge his basest thrill-seeking impulses and walk on the wild side, so he gambled his whole family's future with no understanding of the consequences - even when he's forced to reckon with the sopranos poker game />For his part, Tony has zero internal conflict over collecting this debt from David.
He made another one — he lost again.

Directed by: John Patterson Written by: Frank Renzulli Now that he's back with Dr.
Melfi, Tony tells her that he's angry with all the "happy wanderers" in the world: the people who manage to get through life "with a clear head.
He's source to organize the "Executive Read article />When Tony was a young cugine, Junior would chase him away just for peeking through the doorway at the game.
But now that he's Boss, well, control of the Executive Game is just one more perk Tony can claim for himself.
And Tony's inaugural as the Executive host starts out well.
The money and banter are fast-moving, and the players are an eclectic mix of wise guys, a penile implant specialist and none other than the "Chairboy of the Board" himself, Frank The sopranos poker game, Jr.
Silvio's displaying his usual paranoid poker persona, but all in all, the game is going great.
So great, in fact, that Tony doesn't even mind when his old high school buddy, Davey Scatino, shows up wanting to sit in.
Even though Tony's warned Davey repeatedly that this game the sopranos poker game "too deep" for a guy who runs a sporting goods store, Davey insists he can handle himself.
So Tony relents and even fronts him five "boxes of ziti.
That's when things start to go south.
As the night the sopranos poker game on, Davey borrows - and loses - an additional forty boxes of ziti.
Then Richie Aprile shows up.
Richie glad-hands the room until his gaze falls on Davey Scatino, whom he immediately starts giving the Beansie Gaeta treatment.
Unfortunately, what Davey neglected to tell Tony is that he already owes eight thousand dollars in poker losses to Richie.
Richie is understandably upset to see Davey playing with money that could be paying off his debt.
But the Executive Game is not the forum for airing this kind of complaint.
Sure enough, Richie's temper tantrum causes the guests to decide to "close the lights" and head home.
Tony is furious, telling Richie that as a tax for disrupting his game, he won't collect a penny from Davey until Tony gets what's owed him.
And Davey soon sees why Tony warned him to stay away; when Davey's slow with his payments, Tony expedites matters with his fists.
Still unable to come up with the cash, Davey takes his son, Eric's, Jeep and gives it to Tony, who in turn makes it a gift to Meadow.
But Meadow wants nothing to do with the Jeep.
She accuses her father of unfairly hurting the Scatinos, especially Eric, who is her friend and classmate.
But later, when Eric screams the sopranos poker game her that his father's predicament is solely Tony's fault, Meadow rises to her dad's defense.
Maybe she's still Daddy's girl, after all.
And speaking of "daddy's girl," that's exactly how Janice refers to herself when she tells Richie he's being shabbily treated by Tony and ought to stand up to him.
As she encourages Richie, it becomes clear that while her heart may belong to daddy, Janice's tactics are purely her mother's.
Maybe there aren't as many "happy wanderers" in the world as Tony thinks.

So apparently they ran these super profitable high stakes poker games that were hecka lucrative and brought in thousands!!!

Its not unheard of; Vito Genovese ran rigged high stakes poker games specifically to rip off businessmen.
But they never outright said or even implied the games in The Sopranos were rigged, did article source />Always wanted to get some clarity on that.

This is pretty standard from what I've seen I go to 3 different ones if I don't feel like driving to AC to playwish I could find a better one, but it is what it is if you want to play.
Funny enough, the players are so bad that even with the ridic rake, the games are beatable and are nice places to hang to pregame before you go out at night.
